The 7-inch EP Everyday is the latest music from the four-piece is a limited 315 multi-coloured vinyls pressing featuring four new tracks.
Self-recorded in several sheds late 2012, later mastered by Mikey Young (Eddy Current Suppression Ring/Total Control), the EP emphasizes their unrefined, fresh, lively sound. The Standells and The Beach Boys are easily to hear as inspiration but there’s a definite jagged edge resonance to the lads’ handiwork.
‘Say It’ opens with a jingly surf gist and an enthusiastic chorus harks back to 60s garage rock. The pounding of ‘All Good’ effortlessly moving to summery pop vibrations is a tune perfect for days down on the beach. The monotonous theme of ‘Everyday’ is the stand out track with a lively bass line and hasty tempo. Fantasy homage ‘Sethanon’ sways from twangy 60s rock and punchy vocals to rough musical wanderings.
