March 18th is the expected release date for the new studio album, Specter At The Feast from Black Rebel Motorcycle Club.
The band apparently used the album cathartically as a way to overcome the 2010 death of Michael Been, the father of frontman Robert Levon Been. Michael Been was a musician in his own right and was heavily involved in BRMC, as their touring sound engineer. The new album will be the first since 2010's "Beat The Devils Tattoo".
"No one really wanted to find those words or dig in deep. So we were faking it for a while, not really digging that deep," admits Robert Been. "You have to go back again and dig a bit deeper, and it was excruciating."
