Direct from Madrid, Spain, the legendary Los Coronas have just announced their first tour of Australia in the summer of 2012/2013.
Los Coronas are widely recognized as Spain's top instrumental surf band. Their sound is a mix of Spanish melodies and raw intensity combined with their own version of the 60s Californian surf sound which is an undeniably heady mix of hip shaking, margarita sipping, rhythm infused sonic green room action. You can actually taste the salt when you listen to them, lip smackin' giddiness will ensue as you breath a sigh of relief when you come up for air after being tumbled in the barrel.
Formed in Madrid in 1991, they have since released four albums, two compilations, and toured Spain, Europe and Mexico several times.
Los Coronas will jump on their boards and commence riding a wave of surfin' rock Spanish style that will take in major festivals and events such as Woodford Folk Festival, Pyramid Rock Festival, Sydney Festival, Mona Foma and the Fremantle Arts Centre New Years Day concert as well as headline shows in Melbourne, Dunsborough, Margaret River, Westernport and Adelaide.
