If you you think the artwork for "Anti Pattern" looks cool, then you should definitely listen to the riveting pop track by Mystery Pills in order to discover how much cooler it is than the cool artwork.
Raj Dawson aka Mystery Pills has just been named by the Boston Phoenix as the best "band" to come out of South Dakota for 2012 in their breakdown of the best 50 bands from each of the 50 states of the U.S.A. Click on the link dressed in red above to check out the rest, it's a good read.
Anyhoo, back to the man of the moment. Mystery Pills started recording as Mystery Pills in 2010 inside a bank vault in downtown Rapid City. Anti Pattern was recorded at The Rabbit Hole in Rapid City, South Dakota by Mystery Pills, mixed by Stuart Sikes at Elmwood Recording in Dallas, Texas and mastered by Timothy Stollenwerk at Stereophonic Mastering in Portland, Oregon.
The vocals are the heroes of the day for me in this deceptively simple sounding pop tune that has become almost addictive, (I'm on to my seventh listen and show no signs of stopping).
Mystery Pills is offering a free download from his website here or if you want to pay cash you can go here. Regardless, take the time to have a listen right now. It'll perk you right up!
