It's been a few years between drinks for Melbournes Spazzy's. They will release their second album Dumb Is Forever on November 16th, eight years after their debut album hit the top 40.
"Dumb Is Forever" was recorded in 2006 by Charles Fisher, (Radio Birdman/Hoodoo Gurus) with the final product scheduled for release within the following 6 months. Enter stage left, pesky lawyer types and watch the album get caught up in a seemingly never-ending label/management HOO-HAH which saw the release caught up in legal yah-yah kookoo-dadah land until it was resolved in court in the band’s favour. Hah - lay - lu - yah.
In the interim the gals have been playing, having fun in side projects and getting law degrees. Expect classic Spazzy's riff laden guitar assaults and a huge production that will turn the Ramones-esque, punker goodtimes into a wall of sound that will kick you in the pants and hopefully sky rocket your person elsewhere. Look forward to one hell of a ride.
Dumb Is Forever will finally see the light of day on November 16th.
