Original drumer for KISS Peter Criss will release his autobiography titled " Makeup to Breakup" on October 23rd.
Although the book has been billed as being "from sex, drugs, and rock 'n roll to multiple brushes with death," a statement from the author show a sensitivity and honesty that speaks more to the measure of the whole man than just his rock & roll life, "I am so blessed that I am finally going to write my autobiography, and I hope you enjoy the ride," said Criss. "The best of all is I get to share my true feelings of my love for God, family, friends and fame. It's been a wonderful life."
Amazon.com quotes the memoir as being an "eye-opening journey from the pledge to his ma that he'd one day play Madison Square Garden to doing just that. He conquered the rock world—composing and singing his band's all-time biggest hit, "Beth" (1976)—but he also faced the perils of stardom and his own mortality, including drug abuse, treatment in 1982, near-suicides, two broken marriages, and a hard-won battle with breast cancer.
