Mike Love of the Beach Boys is a ****head. Most recently he has advised the original Beach Boys with whom he has been touring as a part of their 50th Anniversary festivities that he will be taking "The Beach Boys" on another tour that features just himself and Bruce Johnston.
Who does he think he is ? Sure, he wrote Good Vibrations but that doesn't give him a right to diss the other original members by calling himself "The Beach Boys." Brian Wilson can't understand it.. no surprises there and Al Jardine has actually started a petition on his facebook page and iPetitions.com in order to prevent Mike Love from passing himself off as The Beach Boys without including any other original members.
Check it out here and make sure you sign...even if you are not a fan, don't let money hungry and dastardly creatures like Mike Love be winners. If it weren't for Brian Wilson, Carl Wilson, Dennis Wilson, Al Jardine and David Marks he wouldn't have a band or a leg to stand on.
Call yourself "Mike Love In Concert" if you like Mike, but don't fool people or yourself into thinking you are "The Beach Boys". You are not.
