Leadfinger, one of the hardest working bands Strine rock & roll loving punters have the pleasure of supporting will have something for ya'll to listen to real soon. They have literally just completed recording their fourth album.
The album as yet untitled will be released at some stage later in 2012 and is the follow up to 2011's "We Make The Music". Get ready for a self described (by the band)"cracker" of an album. It was recorded at Sydney's Def Wolf Studios over winter and the self-produced sessions found the band exploring the beauty of 12 string guitars while pushing their songwriting and production abilities to the next level.
If previous Leadfinger releases are anything to go buy, you can look forward to a bunch of tracks that take inspiration from all over the spectrum of great music from delta blues, a lil' bit of country and a big dose of 70's swagger. All played with a humbleness and passion that engender a soft spot, genuine excitement and a need to play air guitar along with their guitar driven hooks. These guys are a bunch of honest to goodness muscians that love what they do and do it brilliantly.
After a period of rock & roll hibernation in the studio Leadfinger will urge the return of Spring ( hurry up, hurry up!) with a couple of free shows supported by The Delta Lions at the following venues in NSW;
