Actor turned emo rock star Jared Leto of 30 Seconds To Mars sustained a broken nose at a recent show.
MTV News reports that Leto's band 30 Seconds To Mars were playing alongside The Used, Senses Fail, Saosin, Chiodos, Aiden and Evaline at the El Paso, Texas leg of the Taste Of Chaos show. During their set Leto ran into the crowd and thousands of fans swamped security and engulfed the singer.Leto sustained a broken nose, an injured foot and "superficial injuries" to his face and body. MTV was quick to stress that the injuries were "unintentional". Despite being battered by crazed emo kids and having to get checked into hospital, Leto reportedly declared the show one of the best of the tour.
Taste Of Chaos and ex-Warped organiser Kevin Lyman said in a press release, "I've been producing shows for 25 years and this was one of the scariest moments I have witnessed."
In addition to the genuine chaos in the crowd, bassist Matt Wachter announced on stage that he would be leaving the band. Their site graciously confirmed the news, wishing Wachter the best in his future endeavours.
