Petulant alt-country troubadour Ryan Adams whittles down a new album.
Since he discovered the internet, the profligate songwriter has been posting scores and scores of songs on his website and via the Cardinal Radio stream. His devoted fans might find the news that he has a new album planned a little ho hum. But yes, Adams has chosen a mere thirteen tracks to make up his ninth album 'Easy Tiger'.Adams is certainly no Axl Rose or Dr Dre. He released three albums in 2005 and last December he posted thirteen novelty albums on his virtually unnavigable website under many pseudonyms and styles, including rap, screamo and punk.
A press release for his new album included a tracklist, with fans noting that many of the songs had been previewed on his 2006 European tour. 'Easy Tiger' is scheduled for release on June 5, so he should be able to pump out another couple of internet albums in the meantime.
