Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros have released a video for the song "Mother." Frontman Alex Ebert made the video in tribute to mothers everywhere.
The track is featured on the "Every Mother Counts 2012" a compilation album put together by the organisation of the same name which was founded by Christy Turlington Burns in order to educate and raise awareness about reducing global maternity mortality. Every 90 seconds a woman dies from a complication related to pregnancy or childbirth. The album also includes songs from Bono, Eddie Vedder, David Bowie, Coldplay and Lauryn Hill.
