The White Stripes have announced that their 6th album will be called 'Icky Thump'.
The album was recorded at Blackbird Studios in Nashville. Meg and Jack White spent three weeks in the studio recording the album. That is the longest they have ever spent recording an album.'Icky Thump' will also be the very first White Stripes album to contain a title track.
"We are doing our best (whatever that is) to release the album as soon as corporately possible" they say in a statement. "And though we are tired, worn, weary, hungry, cold, and left without an ounce of nutrition amongst ourselves, we are in the midst of planning performance type shows aroundst the world."
Songs from the new album will be 'Catch Hell Blues', 'Little Cream Soda', 'Rag and Bone' and 'You Don't Know What Love Is (Just Do As You're Told)'.
You can watch the recording of the album track 'I Am Slowly Turning Into You' from the White Stripes website.
