Cissy Houston, mother of Whitney has kept a pretty low profile since the death of her daughter, having granted only one interivew. With the release of her first recordings in over a decade, she's going to let the music do the talking.
The gospel E.P "Walk on By Faith" was released by Harlem Records on iTunes this week and includes four songs arranged by Cissy; "The House", "Walk on by Faith","It's in My Heart" and"Living Shall Not Be in Vain".
Harlem Records, was founded by the creator of" Mama, I Want to Sing" Vy Higginsen. Says Higginsen of the recording, "I wanted to capture the authentic, unique sound of one of the greatest singers of all time, Cissy's voice and lyrics have the power to heal and touch all people. I am renewed and inspired by Cissy’s courage and faith, and find comfort in her message."
Its pretty obvious where Whitney's voice came from when you listen to Cissy.
