Few tales stand as tall as that of Def Leppard drummer Rick Allen, who rebounded from the loss of an arm and went on to enjoy multi-platinum success with Def Leppard.
Allen's journey beyond the conventional limits of music goes one step further into the fine art world with the release of "Electric Hand: Rhythm + Change", a highly limited series of canvases created using cutting-edge technology that turns Allen's every move behind the drumkit into a splash of color, resulting in a series of one-of-a-kind pieces that turn sound into a visual.
Allen says of the series of artworks “The collection reveals something that up until recently I didn't even know existed, presenting sound into light."
The project was achieved in collaboration with Scene4, a creativity house in Los Angeles that specializes in conceptually designing Collaborative artwork with with icons of the music world. Other artists they have collaborated with are The RZA of Wu-Tang Clan, Bootsy Collins of Parliament/James Brown fame, Chuck D of Public Enemy and TLC.
