Thank you John Lydon. This is the first Sex Pistols news I've heard in a while that makes me want to clap my hands.
With a facebook campaign currently underway to make the re- release of The Sex Pistols "God Save The Queen" number one over the weekend of its 35th anniversary, which also coincides with The Queens Diamond Jubilee weekend, the parallels between now and then are light years apart.
In a statement published in NME, John Lydon said of the planned release and social media marketing surrouding it;
"It is certainly not my personal plan or aim. I am proud of what the Sex Pistols achieved and always will be but this campaign totally undermines what the Sex Pistols stood for. This is not my campaign.”
You could not have said it better John Lydon. Thanks.
