The The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) will honour Trent Reznor with the Golden Note Award for his key contributions to songwriting and composing.
Strangely the award will be presented at the 29th Annual Pop Music Awards....Reznor is a lot of things, pop is not one that would have come to my mind.
ASCAP President and Chairman Paul Williams made the following statement; As the creative genius behind the pioneering industrial rock group Nine Inch Nails and one of the most innovative and cutting-edge songwriter-composers of any genre, Trent Reznor continues to blaze trails into uncharted musical territory.We're thrilled to honor him with the prestigious Golden Note Award for his achievements in songwriting and his award-winning film scores."
