75 year old crooner Engelbert Humperdinck will represent the U.K in the 2012 Eurovision song contest.
If anyone has been around the traps its the Hump. Apparently he has been favoured by the powers that be due to his senior status and also for the fact that over the last few years the U.K have failed with young entrants.
It is a song contest afterall, and if you can't get Adele then you get the team behind Adele. The as yet to be unannounced single will be written and produced by the same team behind Adele, Lana Del Ray and Mary J Bilge. You can bet it will be a goodie.
Engelberts most recent release " Released" has done a bonanza in CD sales in European countries since its release in 2010 and this could well hold him in good standing for European votes. You can purchase Engelberts "Released" here; http://www.officialengelbert.com/
The last U.K winners of Eurovision were Katrina and The Waves back in 1997 with the awful song "Love Shine a Light." Given that "Love Shine a Light" is not a patch on "Walking on Sunshine", lets travel back to the sunshine days.
