Jimmy Iovine, music producer, entrepreneur and chairman of Interscope-Geffen-A&M has intimated that he could be interested in launching his own music competition show.
He certainly has the credentials to put together something spectacular. Iovine started out as a recording engineer and worked with huge stars Bruce Springsteen and John Lennon in the mid 1970's. He moved on to producing some of the biggest bands in history including Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers, Dire Straits, U2, and Patti Smith.
Iovine is also credited with lauching Eminem's career by passing on a demo to Dr Dre who subsequently signed Eminem to his Aftermath label.
With his innate ability to recognise talent we may be treated to something far an away more entertaining than Idol , X Factor and the like.
Update 02/02/2012: Jimmy Iovine has announced that he will not be launching a Reality Music TV Show.
"I couldn't do a show, I have about as much talent to do television as you know…it's not what I do. I wouldn't know where to begin.
