Lionel Ritchie will release an album of 13 of his international hit singles re- recorded with the likes of Shania Twain, Kenny Rogers, Willie Nelson and Jimmy Buffett.
The album titled "Tuskegee" is a tribute to his hometown of the same name where the musician was shaped by exposure to gospel, R&B and classical music while growing up. Tuskegee was also the birthplace of the Commodores and where Ritchie wrote his first hits, including “Sail On” and “Easy.”
Country feels natural for Ritchie and songs he has penned in the past are performed regurlarly as part of the sets of stars Tim McGraw and Rascal Flatts. Ritchie songs have also found homes with Kenny Roger's rendition of the Ritchie song "Lady" and Alabama's version of " Deep River Woman".
