Steve Tyler of Aerosmith has been copping a bit of flack over his performance of " The Star Spangled Banner " at a Baltimore Ravens / New England Patriots AFC title game a couple of days ago.
Unlike the cringy performance by Meatloaf at the Austalian Football League Grand Final in 2011, I reckon Steve Tyler didn't do a bad job. He is Steve Tyler....what did people expect? Sure, it ain't no Judy Garland style rendition but it was heartfelt and he appeared to be giving it his best shot. Plus, Tyler did not have the benefit of a band behind him. Unfortunately all the Meatloaf AFL 2011 footage has been removed from the internet and we can't give you an opportunity to compare. But check out Steve Tyler's acapella rendition of "The Star Spangled Banner" anyway. Tis' some light entetainment to discuss or debate over the dinner table this evening.
