In recent days both Axl Rose and Kanye West have had fans booted out of live shows for trivial behaviours. Cor blimey, since when did fans not have the right to just be? And since when did stars become so precious?
The two incidents took place over the weekend with both stars making mountains out of insignificent crowd behavior.
Kanye threatened to have one whole section of the audience removed due to a business card being thrown on stage. Kanye obviously doubles as an Occupational Health and Safety Officer, announcing to the crowd" We risking our lives up here, you can't be throwin' shit we can slip on" Sheesh Kanye, I'd hate to see you at a real gig with beer can missiles. Who slips on a business card? Kanye finally had the "miscreant" (thats a joke) business card thrower removed after advising that the whole section would have to go if the perp didn't put up his hand.
Axl on the other just hurled abuse, he didn't really give any indication as to why he wanted the "Dumb ass motherfucker " thrown out. Once again, fans at shows are likely to be excitable, maybe he was punching on or fighting ? Who could say? Shit happens at gigs. I can say that there are cooler ways for someone like Axl Rose to remove an audience member causing trouble. Talk about "sensitive" that aint rock n roll. Neither is speaking like a racist wharf labourer. Here's a snippet of the wit of Axl.
"Ya, that guy," ranted Axl, pointing the dude out to security. "'Oh, what did I do?'" he mocked. "The Asian little dips**t. See ya, ya dumb-ass mother**ker!"
