Hard-partying, hard-rocking madman Andrew WK plans a string of 'inspirational speeches'.
The ADD hard-rocker is usually incredibly productive but he's gone above and beyond, announcing a three-date speaking engagement at New York's People's Improv Theatre in mid-March.The talks will be titled "The Joy Trilogy" and the PIT's website promises WK will "riff off-the-cuff on the stuff of the head and heart directly with the audience". The theme is, obviously "joy in life" and in a stroke of Anthony Robbins' new age gobbledegook, he says, "We're talking about being us."
It won't end there, though. This 24-7 rock party dude will also run a seminar at the Texas music conference South By South West titled "Party for Life: Live Lecture and Discussion About Pure Fun and Total Love". He also hosts a scavenger hunt, where winners with get $500 and a 20-minute slot to do "whatever you want" as support at an Andrew WK gig.
Considering this workload, plus upcoming festival appearances, panel spots, side projects and a reported two forthcoming albums, and getting some motivational advice from Andrew WK doesn't seem so silly after all.
