A British parliamentarian with close links to the music industry..(there's a story in itself) is batting for Jimmy Page to be knighted. As you can see from the attached photo, he cetainly does look dapper in traditional gentry clobber.
According to the parliamentarian there is no one more deserved for the honour and claims she has support from every major recording label in the U.K. I'm not completely au fait with the process for knighting somebody, and I am aware record companies have a lot of say about a lot of things....but isn't that a job for Elizabeth II ? I'm sure Jimmy is delighted and it will be yet another honour to add to his receipt of the Order of the British Empire in 2005 for the foundation of and work for Action For Brazil's Children's Trust and Task. Chant after me "Jimmy Page for Knighthood", "Jimmy Page for Knighthood".
