The rockin' Findlay sisters (aka) Stonefield will tour with Cold Chisel this month and will also support The Foo Fighters in Sydney on December 8th at Sydney Football stadium.
Stonefield say they are delighted to be the support act for Cold Chisel. "It's an amazing thing to be playing with such Australian legends", said Amy Findlay to AAP. "It's a huge show".
The Australian girls have spread their music across the Glastonbury Festival, signed to a record label, embarked on their first national tour and are now supporting Aussie rock legends Cold Chisel at shows around the country.
The four-pieced all girl rock group were influenced by their parent’s musical tastes including Led Zeppelin, The Doors and Fleetwood Mac. Despite their Mum and Dad’s love of music neither of them play a musical instrument. An interesting fact considering all the girls can play!
"It's not like we had instruments just lying around," Amy said. "We were always singing and dancing along to music. It happened pretty naturally”. The band is hoping to release their next EP early next year.
Stonefield will also play at the 2011 EG Awards in Melbourne on Wednesday November 23. Catch them if you can. You will not be disappointed by the new queens of noise.
