Amy Winehouse’s final autopsy report has revealed that she died from alcohol poisoning.
Winehouse's death was due to “misadventure,” as quoted by Coroner Suzanne Greenway, confirming that the cause of death was due to alcohol poisoning.
Initially, the original autopsy report confirmed there were no illegal substances in Winehouse's system at the time of her death in July this year. Yet according to the final autopsy her blood alcohol limit was five times the legal limit.
Friends and family were initially puzzled at her death, as Winehouse had commenced seriously cleaning up her act. It appears that she was abusing alcohol in order to curb her other addictions.
