Toxicity tests carried out on Amy Winehouse show that there were “no illegal substances” in her body.
A statement issued by the Winehouse family today states, "Results indicate that alcohol was present but it cannot be determined as yet if it played a role in her death."
Amy died on July 23rd, 2011.
"Results indicate that alcohol was present but it cannot be determined as yet if it played a role in her death," the statement also read. Sudden alcohol withdrawal is now the most likely cause of her death.
Winehouse had a long career of drug and alcohol abuse. She was attempting to get her career back on track at the time of her death.
Producer Mark Ronson worked on at least an album’s worth of new material with Amy in the months before her death. She had also attempted a show in Budapest weeks before her death to abortive results but was booed off stage.
