Pavement’s Stephen Malkmus is almost back with his band The Jicks back for album number five.
Slacker rock legends Pavement spent most of last year on a reunion tour, must to the joy of their hardcore fans.
Once it was done, frontman Stephen Malkmus announced in May that he was going back to his other band The Jicks – with Mike Clark, Joanna Bolme and new drummer Jake Morris.
Now the band are very close to releasing their fifth album Mirror Traffic, which has been produced by lovable goof Beck Hansen and features the last drumming from ex-member Janet Weiss.
It’ll come out on Matador Records on August 23 but NPR is already streaming it, so go over there and have a listen.
