ARIA Award-winning electro-pop sensation Ladyhawke has spoken about her long-awaited second album.
Pip Brown, better known as Ladyhawke, has spoken to triple j magazine about her forthcoming album.
It’s the first music for her as Ladyhawke since her ARIA-Award winning self-titled debut from 2008, which spawned ‘80s-inflected synthpop hits ‘My Delirium’ and ‘Paris Is Burning’.
She said that the new album will be more lo-fi and dirty. It doesn’t have a title yet but has a projected release date of October.
She said told the magazine, “Everything on the album is a little bit anxious-feeling, disjointed, but not in a negative way, just a weird sense of abandonment. I made up different versions of myself; it’s my head going crazy.”
Sounds interesting. In April she promised a new single soon, so we’ll keep you updated.
