Jay-Z denies that he and Kanye are feuding and reveals Spike Jonze has filmed a clip for their new single ‘Otis’.
On the verge of their excruciatingly-long-awaited collaborative album Watch The Throne, Jay-Z has spoken about Kanye and clips on radio.
He spoke to Hot 97's Angie Martinez about the New York Post’s reporting of supposed in-fighting between the two about the scale of their forthcoming tour.
Reports abounded that Kanye wanted to go big but Jay-Z wants a stripped-down vibe.
He chuckled, “I kind of want to spend a gazillion dollars, they got that backwards” and admitted that they butt heads but reasserted his deep respect for Kanye.
He also revealed that Spike Jonze, the man behind many an iconic film clip, has shot a video for their single ‘Otis’, which features soul great Otis Redding.
Jonze has worked with Kanye before, on ‘Flashing Lights’, and directed the recent, action-figure-laden clip for the Beastie Boys single ‘Don’t Play No Game That I Can’t Win’.
They reportedly shot the video in LA and the all-American cover art features heavily in the set.
Watch The Throne will be out on August 8.
