Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea has said that the band went on a writing spree, clocking in 70 songs for their tenth studio album ‘I’m With You’.
Speaking to The BBC’s ‘Newsbeat’, Flea said “What was important to us when we put the record together was to make sure that each song filled its own space and was not like another song on the record. We wrote 70 songs, so it’s not even necessarily all the best ones that we put on, but just the ones that occupy their own space.”
The band’s album will hit stores at the end of August. The first single off the record ‘The Adventures of Raindance Maggie‘ is available now. Have a listen to it below and tell us what you think in the comments section:
