Son of Sting Scores Police Support

Sting's son Joe Sumner will support The Police on their North American tour.

The younger Sumner is the bass player (like his dad) in the band Fiction Plane.

Also like his dad's band, Fiction Plane are a three piece rock band. The other members are Seton Daunt on guitar and Pete Wilhoit on drums.

The band formed in December 2004 in London, inspired by the likes of Nirvana and The Specials (what no Police?).

They are signed to Interscope Records and will release their second album in May.

The Police 30th Anniversary Tour kicks off on May 28th in Vancouver.
