Rob Grill, the lead singer of 60s band The Grass Roots, has died from a head injury at the age of 67.
The Grass Roots were best known for the 1967 global hit ‘Midnight Confessions’.
Between 1967 and 1972, The Grass Roots set a record for being on the Billboard chart for 307 weeks in a row. They had two gold albums, a gold single and charted 21 times in the USA
Grill was the lead singer and bass player for The Grass Roots. Their first top 10 hit was ‘Let’s Live For Today’ in 1967. ‘Midnight Confessions’ and ‘Bella Linda’ established them worldwide.
