Odd Future duo MellowHype drop their commercial debut with guest spots from Tyler The Creator, Frank Ocean and more.
MellowHype consists of rapper Hodgy Beats and producer Left Brain, both members of the notorious LA rap collective Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All.
Their first official (read: commercially-available) album is a snazzy version of their second platter BlackenedWhite and will be released tomorrow.
BlackenedWhite features appearances from their buddies Frank Ocean (who has just jetted off to work with Kanye West and Jay-Z), the controversial Tyler The Creator, Mike G, and Domo Genesis.
This is hot on the heels of their much talked-about and sold-out Australian tour on the back of their VIVID Live shows.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a OFWGKTA release without an incredibly creepy video to go with it, and MellowHype enlisted director Matt Alonzo (who has worked on clips for Lil Wayne and Cypress Hill) to shoot a spooky-as-hell film for the single ‘64’.
