Much loved and admired Melbourne rock Goddess Josie Jason has lost her battle with cancer.
Josie died on Wednesday, June 15 surrounded by family and friends.
Josie fronted Josie Jason and the Argonauts and prior to that she was with Jimi Hocking in Jimi The Human and Spectre 7. Josie was also part of the all-female covers band project Mother.
Friends, family and fans will gather to farewell Josie on Monday afternoon when The Espy, St Kilda becomes the Church of Rock. By request, friends are invited to arrive in an eco-friendly manner, car pooling, on foot or by public transport.
The service will start at 1:30pm.
