Clarence Clemons, the legendary sax player for Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band is reported to have suffered a stroke in Miami.

Clarence Clemons, the sax player for Bruce Springsteen's E-Street Band since the early days, has reportedly suffered a stroke.  Multiple reports say that he was taken from his Florida home and, according to at least one source, he is reported to be "seriously ill."

According to Roger Friedman's Showbiz 411:

He is said to be seriously ill after a stroke at his home in Florida. The legendary, magnificent saxophone star of Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band has had health complications in the past and overcome them. But this situation, as described to me this evening, sounds pretty dire. I am told that members of the E Street Band were advised to get down to Florida as soon as possible.

Clemons played with Lady Gaga during the American Idol finale on May 25 and was scheduled to play at game 2 of the NBA finals but was sidelined by a hand injury.
