Lucky Chris Brown got sick this week before his Perth show. He may have been playing to a well below capacity crowd.
Brown’s Perth show was cancelled at the last minute yesterday due to illness but The West Australian is reporting that the promoter Jive Live was offering two free tickets for every one purchased last month.
Brown was due to perform at Burswood Dome last night. On Sunday night he tweeted "Doctor told me I had the flu Turned into a bacterial chest infection. Super Meds!".
Yesterday morning, an official cancellation went out.
“Acting on strict doctor’s orders, Chris Brown has regrettably been forced to cancel his Perth show on the worldwide F.A.M.E. tour due to contracting a severe flu and bacterial infection. The concert was scheduled for today, Tuesday 3 May at Burswood Dome,” the announcement read.
It came complete with a quote from a doctor. Chris’ touring physician, Dr Bill Anseline says: “Chris has a severe viral illness. The virus has developed into a nasty chest infection and he needs rest. He is not fit to perform on stage nor is he fit to travel. He was devastated and wanted to push and go for it, but for Chris’ health and wellbeing I recommended that he didn’t take any risks to avoid ongoing complications.”
Despite the show being the last show on his Australian tour it was not rescheduled. The Aussie shows were to be the start of a world tour. However, Brown has no other shows anywhere in the world currently scheduled.
