The BBC announce a full-album live performance by Radiohead airing on BBC Worldwide in July.
Spinner reports that the BBC have announced they will be showing 'Radiohead – The King of Limbs: Live From the Basement' on July 1.
The 55-minute show will capture the band performing the entire King Of Limbs album, as well as backstage footage, which is handy since the album tops out at 40 minutes.
It’s the band’s first television performance this year and will reportedly feature no audience or host – just the band doing their thing (and hopefully some freaky dancing from Mr Yorke).
Bryce Edge of their management company revealed, “The band will be filmed and recorded by the From The Basement team, which includes Nigel Godrich their long time producer, Dilly Gent ,who commissioned many of the memorable Radiohead videos and Grant Gee who filmed the Radiohead documentary Meeting People is Easy."
The BBC have already fielded offers from around the world for the rights, so don’t be surprised if you can see it live in whichever country you reside.
