Faker are back.
The band from Sydney formed in 1996 and released two albums, ‘Addicted Romantic’ in 2005 and ‘Be The Twilight’ in 2007.
In late 2010, Faker reactivated and started to release demos via Soundcloud. They then took to Facebook and announced a third album to be called ‘Get Loved’.
Now there is more activity from Faker at their website. The band has added a section called The Back Lot and is offering a stream or download every three days of new music.
“Generally, with each rediscovery comes a gentle reminder of who we were, as opposed to who we are right now... totally confronting, but still a good thing to do when you're in the right frame of mind. I find it particularly advantageous when I'm on my way to a new place to discover something that I haven't seen before,” says singer Nathan Hudson.
"There's actually a sliver of time that comes in the life of a band where every-so-often if feels OK to look back on what you've done and glance at the initial moments of inspiration or glimpse into some of the what-might-have-been... For us it came at the point where we were just days out of completing our new record."
