In Australia it looks like 2007 will be the year of hardcore with tour announcements for Bane and Sick Of It All.
The stellar line-up of hardcore acts for 2007 is mostly due to the entrepreneurial efforts of Sydney's Resist Records, who have just announced a tour for righteous Massachusetts quintet Bane through April and a double-header for New York legends Sick Of it All and Canadian floor-punchers Comeback Kid through May.These dates follow on from a spectacular selection of visitors lining up to tour Australia in the first half of the year. Californian hardcore purists Terror tour the nation in February. Discordant cult metalcore figures Converge and melodic hardcore lefties Strike Anywhere storm through in March. And local stars The Dead Walk, Mindsnare, Miles Away, Her Nightmare, Cry Murder and Carpathian all crisscross the nation in the coming months.
