Modest Mouse continue to indulge their penchant for long album titles, confirming their new long player will be called 'We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank'.
Frontman Isaac Brock recently confirmed that former Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr, who recorded on the album, is a fully fledged member of the band. Brock also claimed the album sounds like a "nautical balalaika carnival romp". The band's original drummer Jeremiah Green has returned for the album, whilst The Shins' James Mercer lends some guest vocals.Released in the US on March 20, the album will be available for pre-order from iTunes from 30 January.
