George Michael has recorded a song for the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.
“I think I’ve chosen a song for William and Kate,” he tweeted today. “Suffice to say it’s a beautiful song and it was never a single so chances are u don’t know it … but I think it’s a perfect fit.”
George hinted “It was written in the seventies by a genius. Tell you what people, I’ll give you a clue that will really narrow it down to a handful of great love songs of the pop era. The first word in the title is … You”.
An hour later he posted “Back to William and Kate … I’m in the Thames valley today, but working on the track tomorrow. Hopefully done by Thursday”. He later told fans they might have to wait until Friday.
So let the guessing begin. We know George is a Stevie Wonder nut. One of the great Stevie Wonder love songs of the 70s was ‘You Are The Sunshine Of My Life”. Then again … we shall wait a few days for the answer.
