Joan As Policewoman will make a welcome return to Australian shores this June with a full band in tow for a run of theatre and club shows.
The artist, whose real name is Joan Wasser, will be touring in support of her latest album ‘The Deep Field’, which sees her tap into the psyche of Mavin Gaye, Sly and the Family Stone and Curtis Mayfield to name a few.
“I wanted the music to feel freer, to be my ‘Maggot Brain’!” she said referring to the spaced out psychedelic 1971 classic by Funkadelic.
Stopping in eight cities while she’s down under, there isn’t much of an excuse to miss her, so do yourself a favour and get to one of the following shows:
