Veteran producer Brian Eno has confirmed on British radio that he will produce the next Coldplay album.
Speaking on BBC4, Eno said that the sound of the next record will be somewhat different to the three previous albums.Coldplay have been working on the album since October 2006 in a studio they purchased in London.
The album will be the follow-up to 2005's 'X&Y' which was the biggest selling album of 2006 for EMI Records.
Frontman Chris Martin will also appear on the next Kanye West album 'Graduation' due mid year.
Brian Eno first made his name as a founding member of Roxy Music but only stayed for the first two albums.
He recorded solo works with Robert Fripp before taking on production duties for other acts.
Eno produced 'Low', 'Heroes' and 'Lodger' for David Bowie, 'More Songs About Building and Food', 'Fear of Music' and 'Remain in Light' for Talking Heads and 'The Joshua Tree' and 'Achtung Baby' for U2.
