Irish music legend Van Morrison will receive an honor from the Ireland Alliance on February 22, to acknowledge his songs on film soundtracks.
The honor, which will coincide with the Grammy Awards and the release of his album 'Van Morrision At The Movies', will be held on February 22nd at the Wilshire Ebell.Veteran actor Al Pacino will present Morrison with the award.
His songs have been used in films such as 'Thelma & Louise', 'Born On The Forth of July', 'Bridget Jones' Diary' and 'An Officer And A Gentlemen'.
Morrison classics that have graced the big screen include 'Gloria', 'Brown Eyed Girl', 'Have I Told You Lately That I Love You' and 'Moondance'.
'Van Morrison At The Movies' will be released on February 13th.
