Justin Bieber’s hair went on display n Miami this week and made over $4000 for victims of the Japanese earthquake.
Fans paid to have their photo taken with the $40,668 lock of Bieber.
Bieber fans started lining up at 2am for a chance to get their photo. One group of Girl Scouts travelled from Plantation, Florida to Miami for the photo op and donated $100 for the picture.
The hair was auctioned on eBay after a suggestion from Ellen DeGeneres on her February 23 show. Proceeds from the hair auction went to Ellen’s charity, Gentle Barn Foundation.
The highest bidder for the hair was Golden Palace Casino. Golden Palace once paid $28,000 for a grilled cheese sandwich bearing the image of the Virgin Mary. The Virgin Bieber did well for them as well.
Two security guards protected the Bieber hair while it was in Miami. The photo ops took place at Lucky Strike Lanes & Lounge. Adriana de Mauro (Real Housewives of Miami) and son were seen queuing for a photo.
