Spank Rock's MC misses the Big Day Out and sideshows.
Bad news for Australian fans of Baltimore's favourite sons of underground dirty rap Spank Rock. The group have been forced to limit their performances at the Big Days Out, and their side shows in Sydney and Melbourne with Diplo, to just a DJ set. Why? Their eponymous MC Spank Rock reportedly got held up at the airport because of a knuckle-duster in his luggage and was arrested and sent home, according to a spokesperson for the Metro in Sydney.A fan grumbled on the group's myspace about travelling seven hours to the Gold Coast Big Day Out on the proviso that he would see Spank Rock the group rather than a DJ set.
Spank Rock the MC replied to the fan on his myspace, saying "I'm terribly sorry for not making it out to BDO. You should know that there is no place I'd rather be and I've been looking forward to the festival for months. I ran into some trouble at JFK airport and was forced to miss the trip. Sorry man, let me know how I can make it up to you."
Hopefully he can make it up by coming to Australia, unarmed and soon.
