Courtney Love has been ordered to pay fashion designer Dawn Simorangkir $434000 in damages after slagging her off on Twitter.
Love badmouthed Simorangkir over a $4000 payment for a dress she bought from Dawn’s brand Boudoir Queen.
Love took to Twitter and Myspace to make her comments over the dispute which we then reported by the media.
Love used the defence that even though she made the derogatory comments, Simorangkir’s business benefited from the media attention. Love called Simorangkir “a whore” and “a convicted prostitute”
It certainly has now, to the tune of $430,000.
Courtney’s Hole released the comeback album ‘Nobody’s Daughter’ in 2010. It sold 22,000 units in the first week in the USA and then quickly proceeded to dive to oblivion.
