The upcoming Crowded House reunion will be minus Tim Finn.
The official line-up for the Crowded House world tour will be founders Neil Finn and Nick Seymour with Mark Hart. They are also auditioning drummers in Melbourne this week.Tim Finn joined the band is 1989 for their third album 'Woodface' and remained to the end in 1996.
Peter Green from frenz.com, the official website for Split Enz and Crowded House has confirmed to Undercover that there will be a new Crowded House album and a world tour.
The first officially announced gig for Crowded House will be at Coachella in California in April.
A world tour is being planned for the new band.
Crowded House formed in Melbourne, Australia is July 1985. The original name of the band was The Mullanes, named after lead singer and songwriter Neil Mullane Finn.
The original line-up was the trio of Finn, bass player Nick Seymour and former Split Enz drummer Paul Hester.
Hester left the band midway through the US tour for 'Together Alone' in 1994. He was replaced by Mark Hart until the band broke up in 1996.
In 2005, Hester took his own life in a park in the Melbourne suburb of Elsternwick.
The last official gig for Crowded House was on November 24, 1996 when the band staged their "Farewell to the World" show from the steps of the Sydney Opera House. That performance is now available on DVD.
Last year, Finn was involved in a reunion with his previous band Split Enz in Australia.
