A documentary about legendary rock figure Lemmy Kilmister of Motörhead tops the Billboard chart and extends its theatrical run.
The film, Lemmy: 49% Motherfucker, 51% Son Of A Bitch, has hit number one on the Billboard Music Video Chart and both the DVD and Bluray are in Amazon’s Top 10 Best Selling Documentary Chart.
The theatrical release of the film has also extended into its sixth straight week in New York City.
The doco, which features music icons such as Dave Grohl, Slash, Metallica, Ozzy, Alcie Cooper, Peter Hook, Mick Jones, Henry Rollins and scores more, also has over four and a half hours of bonus footage in the store-bought version.
Metalassault.com wrote, "If ever there was an award reserved specifically for the most comprehensive DVD of all time, this one would have been the runaway winner."
It includes Metallica all dressed as Lemmy and performing as The Lemmys, footage from his 50th birthday, a superfan featurette, extended interviews, and much more.
Motörhead tour Australia next month, playing Melbourne’s Festival Hall on March 26, Adelaide’s Thebarton on March 28, Sydney’s Big Top on March 30 and the Gold Coast Convention Centre on April 1.
