Bjork and Omar Souleyman are an unlikely pairing, but a collaboration is in the works between the two unique artists.
Souleyman, a Syrian singer who uses electronic music as a bed for his traditional Arabic vocals style will - according to Pitchfork - be releasing a collaborative project with Bjork on limited 12” vinyl, CD and digital download later this year.
We can’t imagine what it’s going to sound like, but it is inevitably going to be something pretty special.
Australian music fans can check out Omar Souleyman when he hits out shores next month. Dates are:
